Hispanics In Energy (HIE)
Vision
Promote Hispanic inclusion (15%) and be a resource for utility companies and municipalities, utility commissioners, federal government regulators, elected officials and communities on comprehensive energy matters in governance, employment, procurement, philanthropy, customer service and marketing, and, public policy.
Mission
1. Create a network of Hispanic executive in the energy field both private and public
2. Hold an all stakeholder annual national gathering to create strategies for Hispanic inclusion in energy
3. Organize national HIE leadership meetings in sync with NARUC
4. Initiate research and development on Hispanic inclusion in the energy sectors
5. Create an HIE membership structure to sustain HIE
6. Create a monthly communications vehicle to promote information and education
7. Hold HIE advisory meetings on focus topics and action items
8. Meet with energy executives to develop direct links of communication and collaboration
9. Be the strategic link between Hispanics in energy and Hispanic elected, business, community and labor leaders
