More ... ![]() ![]() Hispanic Energy Literacy and Engagement is the 2013 Policy Focus of the National Energy Policy Summit Series Hispanics In Energy (HIE) launched the first ever National Energy Policy Series in Sacramento on June 24 near the state capitol building of California, home to the greatest number of Hispanics in America. "I thought the topic of electricity would only take one hour" said one of the participants, "I did not realized just how much this industry entails and the vast opportunities Hispanics are just not aware of." To view a copy please click SacLatino. ![]() Hispanics In Energy Policy Summit Key Gathering of Energy Leaders The policy summit drew a prominent gathering of movers and shakers in the energy industry as speakers, moderators and panelists. For a review of the agenda, click on the cover of the program on the left to see the impressive bios of those who shared their expertise. It was a great gathering of the petroleum, utility and renewable energy representatives as well as the regulators, policy makers and academicians. The journey to establish Hispanics In Energy began over a year ago and one of the key leaders of the effort, David C. Lizarraga, a member of the Hispanics In Energy board of directors and founder and executive of TELACU, delivered the presentation below to the National Association of Utility Commissioners (NARUC), Utility Market Access Committee in Baltimore, MD in November of 2012.
